Divert = distract. The phrasing of that game mechanic is awful. It should've said something like "Leaving doors open can attract wardens." The way they said it makes it sound like open doors would help escape wardens.

I just looked up blackwell's asylum and I think this game was inspired by a real woman named Nellie Bly who pretended to be mentally unstable so that she can investigate abuse in an asylum that was on "Blackwell's Island" (the asylum was called the "Women's Lunatic Asylum" and the island is now known as 'Roosevelt Island'). On the title screen, that woman in the picture IS Nellie. This is such an awesome indie game, and learning about its inspiration was pretty cool too. :D

Something about this game is just really creepy... It doesn't really have the scary factor like Amnesia, but I just feel this trepidation in my heart when Cry is walking through the halls watching out for wardens. I guess it KIND of reminds me of watching out for monsters in Amnesia...

I think the game has been updated since this video. When I tried playing, I couldn't get past warden at all. He would always walk out of the room when I get close or simply be in other room that I need to go to and running away and hiding did not help as, unlike Cry's attempt, Warden wasn't too lazy to bend down and look under the couch at all. In fact he did it sadistically slow, knowing that I have nowhere to run...
