No, it was not a joint venture. Crye Precision uses AirLite® material unlike BFG's ULTRAcomp® material. While other products on the market look similar to AirLite, they're not the same and may not offer the same balance of strength, stability and weight savings. The AirLite material is noticeably stiffer, as it has a thicker woven backing structure.

Some people say that BFG worked along with crye precision on the Molle-Minus.
