** So, this is a 4 string cover of Cryin'. The song uses a 5 string bass, but I know most people only have a 4 string, so that's why I'm doing this in addition to the 5 string cover.
I thought I got this as a request a little while ago and I was glad because I like the song. As I am uploading this, I find out the request was for Crazy, not Cryin'. I'm so terribly sorry that I mixed up the songs, but we're all human and make mistakes. I have the correct request on my short list of songs to do. Anyways, while taking a break from tabbing, I was listening to the radio and the song came on and I heard some low notes that were lower than the normal E or Eb, so it definitely is a 5 string song (or a drop tuned song). I imagine most people coming to learn it want to play it on a 4 string bass, so I might do what I did with Another brick in the wall and have a 4 string version and a 5 string for whover wants whichever.
I have so many videos because there were a couple spots I really wanted to see the positioning for, but the videos kept shoing Tom on the same parts of the song and not what I was looking for. By the end I got tired of listing everything I could see.

1:09 shows Tom Hamilton with a 5 string bass for this song (his wikipedia article shows him using 4 string basses though)
1:15 shows it again. Looks like a music man based on the headstock
1:27 he uses his fingers, not a pick

0:37 shows a 5 string Ibanez. You can also see practically all of the verse behind Steven Tyler's Head
2:32 you can see what Tom Hamilton is doing going from prechorus into chorus. He's using the 5 and 7, not open strings.
3:45 you can see him in the background, but you can tell his position going into the Chorus where he stays until the grand pause

0:40 Tom Hamilton is at the 5th fret on his 5 string and then shifts down to 3 and 2 as it dissolves to Steven Tyler's face
1:05 in the chorus you can see the hand and the back of the neck. It's clearly near the 5 and 7, not 0,3,2. he does slide up to the 10ish?
1:31 - The bridge is using the 1 not the 6. He slides up from the 1 to the three with his first finger when he finishes the riff from the intro
2:25 - the pre-chorus shows after the open string using th 7 instead of a 2
2:57 - solo you can see what he does. It keeps cutting back to him here

Yes, there are! Ultimate Guitar ran into big issues with it a while back where they went through a lot of legal trouble from the big three. Realistically, it probably wouldn’t be a problem, but they could come after me if I did share without permission and the fines go from like $150-$500 a song
