yeah, having surgery for the first time is scary but however you are not aware of anything during that time. you are basically in a coma where you don't know anything. also your brain stops working so you can't feel anything, talk or move or both. and also they are always monitoring you to make sure that you don't die or make sure everything is fine.

I had seizure surgery crying for my mom in 16 was 15 when I got it done I'm so much of a cry baby now high blood pressure and heart palpitations or heart skipping beats etc and panic attacks that I pass out from and no service dog around and a diabetic plus more it's very dangerous for me to pass out

You just wanna reach out and hold them and tell them it will all be okay. ❤ I fought like crazy at age five going under for my appendix to be removed. You don’t understand at that age. I felt like I was being held down and smothered. It’s scary! (Im 40 and just had a hysterectomy. It’s still scary as an adult!) My mom said I woke up mad as could be! lol I remember screaming for my papaw. It was my first surgery, and I was not having it. 😂

Going to sleep through the IV was much less traumatic at the time for me. How old were you? Do you remember being put to sleep for surgery?
