Yeah she misinterpreted him this whole episode. Ekko is probably the most selfless character of the series. I think she'll probably realise how much of a sacrifice it was in the end.

When Viktor's minions grabbed him to suck his soul away with promises of a better life absent of suffering, he was able to fight and reject it because he has already done it before in ep7. I wished the Ekko storyline was longer we were robbed of a true Ekko arc unlucky...

@@edgybravo4287 fr In act 2 I kept asking myself where the f is Ekko, then he came back in episode 7 only to not feature in 8. I wish we had more of him. Even Sevika's act 3 presence was almost inexistent. But I guess with a show like this it's hard to give time to so many important characters in 9 episodes of 30 to 50 minutes.

Beware, once you read this you won’t be okay: the pendant ekko gives powder has their faces on either side with a blue rose on each side. A blue rose symbolizes unattainableness since they don’t occur in nature. When she spins it, you can see them together within the rose. Their love is a blue rose, it just isn’t possible😢

@@LordInsidious No, there are a group of these channels all with the same MO. They single out a reaction channel and then re-post reactions from one channel as their own with no attribution. They also always have the comments turned of so that no one can direct people to the real channel. They all have suspiciously fake channel names. Another channel steals from The Homies, there is one which steals from Californiablend. I've found about a dozen, but most have disappeared after I kept reporting them.

Each scene in this chapter stabs you in the heart, imagine how it will stab Ekko. This is how everything could have been. Ekko here has his family, his friends, his home, his job, his dream, his happiness, and the girl he has been in love with without knowing it since he was a child, Powder, not Jinx, Powder. Ekko must decide to voluntarily return to a horrible world where he has lost everything and where he has nothing left, to try to save it. It is the hardest and most tragic decision that can be made. That dance and kiss scene with the Stromae song was too much, the sadness as a viewer is absolute.

❤ 😭I normally never cry (somewhat of an emotional block due to being raised by a "tough guy" dad), but I cried a lot during Arcane S1 and S2, but this episode hit me so hard, right there with you Trixy... just crying for Jinx and Ekko's shining gem of an episode -- like you I'm so grateful we have this episode at least, it softens the blow of all the other painful episodes. This show is an artistic masterpiece! 🎉

Totally with you on the spoiler thing. I woke up, opened up KZbin and already saw a million reaction thumbnails with Ekko and Jinx. You did it too btw! But at least you reaction took 3 days, so I had a little bit of time to watch it. The reality nowadays is, you will just see spoilers if you go on the Internet. The only way to avoid it, is to be offline until you've watched it. It sucks and should not be this way, but it is unfortunately.

@@meswil Yeah there is a fine line between good writing and over explaining. Also, A fine line between good writing and not setting up any storyline properly. Most people don't see that but Arcane so seldomly falls to that level where it shows you easter eggs and hints and expects you to understand exactly what's going on without actually taking the time to show it properly. That is why ep8 and ep9 of s2 felt like a giant mess of undercooked converging storylines...

Not sure if you got that the Ekko who kissed Powder returned to his universe at the end of the episode. The Ekko that woke up is the original Ekko of that universe. That being said, I like to think that even though it's a different Ekko and Powder, they both lived happily together ever after in that specific universe.

Jinx was just crazy character in League of Legends before arcane creators gave her some quality story, while Spider-Gwen have been in atleast 15 comic issues, 2 animated movies coming for one more, but all be honest, as a story Jinx in Arcane is better (for now, becouse we know Marvel is not gonna slow down) but as a character Spider-Gwen is better. and i still could see Zombiesnyder perspective becouse Miles is similar to Ekko in this story aswell.

Waaaay late on this, but thank you Trixy. Your synopsis at the beginning was fantastic, especially for those of us who have no idea about the lore of Runeterra. I think a lot of the criticism is coming from people who were not fans of the game, like me, so at times we either felt lost or didn’t know the full significance of a lot of the scenes. The writers chose to pay homage to the fans of the game, rightfully so, in Season 2. The pacing is definitely a lot faster than season 1…initially I didn’t like it, but now that I’m rewatching it over and over again, I feel like the pacing is absolutely perfect. Honestly, I would challenge any one who prefers the pacing of Season 1 over Season 2 to rewatch both and tell me that Season 1 doesn’t feel a bit slow at times.

I just don't get it why people put spoilers in their thumbnail and titles it's annoying I instantly block content from their channels as soon as I see something like that pop up. But there are so many people that do it it's impossible to not see stuff if you're on the net. This was my favorite episode of s2 though I really wished we had an extra arc with Ekko's storyline there was a really compelling story to be told with him here. Plus Jinx and Ekko are the best characters lets be real lol we needed more episodes with them as the mains. I believe that Leblanc calls Mel sister because of the "sisterhood" of mages type shit. Like everyone who joins the black rose becomes "family" I'm pretty sure that is what they mean by that. And the Black Rose is basically the illuminati in the world of Runeterra.
