I like Gwen a lot and while I will groan about the nerfs, she is the champion I felt the most in love with when she came out, even more so than my main. She is great and while I can’t fully rely on the crutch of absolutely bonkers teamfight sustain like I could with her pre nerfs, I don’t think there’s a champion I put over her in my favorites list

I only get to play Gwen in ARAM as I don't play Summoner's Rift, but I greatly enjoy her when I play her. It's incredibly satisfying to eviscerate the enemy ChoGath or Mundo while the poke mages are completely invalidated by W.

I remember how, when she came out, I wanted to create a bruiser/tank sort of build with her like how I do Kindred. Used the Frostfire Gauntlet to make her big in the process. People kept getting confused over why I wasn't following all the meta builds, and were even more so when it actually worked. Been a little while since I took a break from League, but it's always enjoyable to see all the different kind of builds that she can make work with her flexibile kit.

If per chance anyone is looking for a similar god in SMITE Achilles is very close to her. 1. Is also a cone with a sweet spot. But the sweet spot stubs and lil more dmg (similar to her Q) 2. Is just a buff to prots/dmg/ and makes all abilties hits proc little heals (a little like her passive, and prots from W) 3. This ia where the similae play stay comes from. Its a short dash and then a spear stab, which if ilhits an enemy god give you another cast. (similar to her E) 3 into auto cancels are important here 4. Ulty is a delayed dash with a 35% execute. If you get the execute you reset the ult. (Similar recating with high line shot punch power) Hope this helps for anyone intersted. They also added crazy similar threshbgod character, Maui from Moana lol. Closest any of any champa bwtween the games.

I think Gwen w's resistances is just to keep it a viable ability, similar to how Poppy's w does additional things outside its anti dash zone. Yes, it's not as strong as being used to its fullest potential, however having an ability be functionally dead because your opponent is not countered by nor is directly affected by the defensive ability is pretty unfun. (Not everyone has a dash for Poppy nor every match up for Gwen would care to fight in melee with her)

I always feel that since Gwen got brought down from her release, she's settled into a state that only people that enjoy her kit regardless of its power will play. Which in my opinion is kind of good. I love playing her, it's a pain to have to pick her first in a match, or the enemy accidentally drafts a comp that is kite or cc heavy meaning you can't even land one Q, but as you said just even about her mist, she has so many options for versatility. I never feel like she has easy matchups, just more straightforward ones, in game I always find myself thinking about how I want to approach things as Gwen, about how I want to get creative fighting or farming, how I want to spring into action to clean up a drake fight gone wrong etc. As opposed to other champions who you could ask yourself the same questions and get the same answer every time. I can build so many different ways, that all work (100% of 60% of the time), are interesting to play and not just like every other champions 'alternate build' that is a deathbush oneshot build or other cheesy tactic. I'm used at this point to the pings and flame you get for not building what your team sees on mobalyitcs, after all, I got into Thresh top because of this channel and you know how that goes. Building her however you want to play is such a good feeling of freedom that can sometimes be rare in this game, If the new items come out and she becomes meta then good for her, and if everyone else overtakes her even more, then that's a shame, but I will continue to play her whenever I want to because, she is fun. as a gwen enjoyer, I must say she is *balanced*, not being ironic, she is easy to get, hard to master; her Q and R are skill shots, her W isn't broken since 1- it can only move twice while also is a rather big area enough for others to get in and not enough to hunt down and 2 she only has some kind of CC on her ult nor she gets any shield. She works so differently and feels more like a melee ADC rather then a regular bruiser, that is why even though her kit makes her sustain and have so much dmg, she barely never broke even 50% win rate, she is built different, you have to basically always engage first, yet you don't have engage habilities beyond your SINGLE dash, making counterplay on her rather intuitive and not being counter played being very skilled, still her dmg makes it that you have some leverage that on the hands of a skillful gwen enjoyer, you can go even to bot lane together with a nautilus and still come of 14/2/12 with 3 tripple kills; no wonder gwen was picked by the world winner even though she is so "nerfed" and with such a low winrate, simply skill diff.

Nice video man! I recently got into playing Gwen by looking for a counter pick to Yone's top lane threats and I love her, even though I don't play her well yet. If you like Gwen, there's a chance you may like Yone too since he's a high mobility champ and has an emphasis on autos like Gwen does

I had many theories on what Mythics could work on Gwen and every time I asked my friend what he thinks about it his response was: "Nah, riftmaker is broken on her. You don't wanna put that away." Gwen gives off fun and crazy vibes from her character design and how she acts and how ridiculous she is for having needles and and a scissor as a weapon. she does certainly feel weak because the items that build on her does not feel good right away like building riftmaker if you are not fed feels dog shit but you need that sustain to survive in team fights and rushing nashors without any ap is so bad but after lvl 6 and lvl 11 she is amazing.

you can try a full atk speed build with gwen too, i build rageblade or kraken first item and it actually worked, but her q almost becomes irrelevant because it doesnt deal as much as damage as ap gwen, but her auto attacks feel huge and unbalanced, it's really fun

I use w at the start of the game to protect my gwen, in the later games I use for offense by using it as a kinda shield as I jump into fights. And her e just eats up towers and inhibitors in the later game.

Speaking of off meta, i will never give up on AP Kai’Sa mid even though the AP ratio on W got nuked from 70% to fucking 45% (why faker why) now with the AP build, she is less of a Corki and more of an AP assassin especially since they increased the AP ratio on the passive. Late game you run around with 51-53% missing health damage oneshotting squishies and bruisers alike. Also another reason why i love Kai’Sa is because the her kit is designed, she can have quite the diversity in builds which makes one not lose interest even after a long time.

You can go Nashor's Tooth into Cosmic Drive as those are pretty much the best in-slot items for that purpose. You should probably start with a Mythic though of your choice, and though it is of questionable viability, Night Harvester's mythic passive will give you even more ability haste. Tooth and Drive are not tanky at ALL though so I'd recommend bringing some HP and defense with some other items when needed.

Many ADCs are all building Stormrazor as a first item (a few go for infinity edge or even guinsoo) because it's affordable and the build path isn't punishing. If you remember back when stormrazor came live it was a great item for AD thresh and I think it will again be, not only because it's affordable but also because it will take advantage of the free AP. I would say that this is the best option even on an on hit build, so no matter what you want to build this seems like the best option... So when are we getting the thresh oneshot build again?

Happens fairly often that when talking about Pre-rework Aatrox you mention how both Warwick and Volibear play at least somewhat similarly (and Xin Zhao also), so I wonder what do you personally think of them? We did play some Warwick long ago with sparse videos (mostly a meme video "This is How I play Warwick" iirc. entirely based around coping with WW after aatrox rework, plus the Before The Rework), but Voli has mostly been off-stream/youtube though. As it happens, both of them are champions I'd once again love to just talk about in a video, not for competitive strength or anything, just being stupidly fun, well-designed champs imo. I think her W is a badly designed ability and holds her back from truly feeling like a strong skirmisher, by having a ton of her power budget in that one ability. That's why she's one of my favorites, but not THE favorite, since she can feel miserable to play in certain matchups and is basically just a counter pick at high enough levels of play. Sitting in lane against a sett, farming exclusively melee minions under turret, getting zoned off every second wave is just.... something. But I have to give you huge ups for your approach to the game, not just brainlessly copying probuilds like 99% of the playerbase does nowadays. Such a fun oriented approach that we have to keep alive!

I know it makes a lot of people mad, yet I love playing Gwen. She’s almost always fun, sucked a lot when she was nerfed, but I’m glad at least right now it feels like I don’t have to worry as much compared to before with matchups. I really miss when league years ago felt less so “meta heavy”, I know you can play anyone pretty much anytime (kinda) but like I just wish people weren’t so inclined to troll/afk/or run it down based on you trying to have fun and going a bit off meta. I know my champ pool is wild, weird, and sometimes random af but I have a lot of fun with who I play. I definitely agree with the W on Gwen in this video it always blows my mind how often I have all chat flamers complaining about the W yet they spam their keys just as explained. Gwen is fun, Gwen is amazing that is all :)

Gwen is definitely overloaded (hallowed mist my despised) but she is very fun to play, has a great design and unique design, and at least at least has the curtesy of only having her ult as a ranged attack instead of throwing scissors. If she beats me, she’s earned it. You’re good in my books Gwen players. At least you’re not yasuo Note: overloaded does not mean overpowered. She’s in a comfortable spot at the minute, not too strong, not too weak. What I mean by overloaded is she has percent health damage, bonus magic damage on everything, healing on auto attacks, a dash that empowers your auto attack, a field that makes you just say ‘no’ to any attacks for a while, and an ult that tears teams apart. That’s a lot of stuff for one champ to have.
