Atrium Carceri's full genius on display here. No other artist really nails the cold, lonely, confused vibe of dark ambient while retaining a familiarity that borders on the welcoming. At once, harrowing and peaceful. A stunning collection of tracks. Revelations from the book of flesh is a borderline masterwork.

The picture resembles an Orthodox Monk. No idea if Atrium Carceri studied this, probably they did, but Orthodox Christianity (the true, ancient form of it) is an Apophatic Theology. It focuses on the Unknown Mysteries of God. Deep meditation in the swirling 4th Dimension where the Angels reside. That is why Orthodox monks go into the woods or caves and succumb to a live of meditation and ignorance of their physical form. Amazing.

The Adeptus Mechanicus plays this album on repeat without fail. Glory to the Omnissiah! Love how wonderfully deeply layered those instruments are in each song.
