It really depends on what you are storing. Entirely submerging some things in liquid nitrogen may ruin a sample whereas keeping the levels low the ambient -190 degrees is sufficient for storage.

No need for dip stick, just put transfer hose into container deep enough, slowly, where liquid sprays out of the top, that means you’re at the liquid
