~ ABOUT CRYPTA ~
Born in June 2019, CRYPTA is a Brazilian/Dutch Death Metal fourpiece, influenced by the old school sub-genres of the style.
The band’s lineup include Fernanda Lira (vocals & bass) and Luana Dametto (drums), both ex-members of Brazilian thrash metal band Nervosa, Sonia Anubis (lead guitars) who also plays in Cobra Spell and played formerly in the heavy metal band Burning Witches, and Tainá Bergamaschi (guitars), ex-member of Hagbard.

The beginning of this track reminds me a bit of Death's The Philosopher, doesn't it? Well done Taina, very precise and good; I'd watch you play for hours 👍

Totally, I think it's intentional, there's a story about taina sending a video of her playing crystal mountain to Fernanda, when she was looking for other girls to form the band. Death is a big influence for sure!

Quanta imponência no comando do instrumento, o bacana desses Playthrough é que dá pra sacar sempre algo novo dentro das Músicas que sempre acaba passando despercebido. 'BEU TEUS', não vejo a hora de conferir esse Quarteto aovivo executando toda essa massa sonora que é o 'Echoes of The Soul' !!!

Indeed, I used to hold the pick exactly this way, till recently when I was "reeducated" to hold the pick in a more tradicional way pointing it downside instead of upside. Although it never prevent me of playing the songs I liked, I realized that, at least for me, it was a really limiting factor to improve my guitar technique. After changing the pick style, it opened up a whole new road of improvement for me. Anyways, she did amazing regardless, just an interesting observation base on your comment.

@@ivan2221 Interesting. It actually seems to be a bit painful to hold the pick like this, but if you did it, she does it and others also do it then it certainly isn't. Plus she's a way way way way better guitarist than I am, so who am I to question anything?! 🤷🏼‍♂️
