How do get an estimate of time until the peak of wave 5? Are there any rules on timing or could it happen much sooner as some expect perhaps early 2025 rather than later in the year?

Don't take Fib extensions on Log Scale charts; take Fib extension on Reg chart for actual targets.

You should do both. On lower time frames log scale doesn't do much difference. But on higher time frames when looking at volatile or extended products, and where inflation dominates, log adapted tools should be used also. @@EWcycles I find often times taking the log extensions gives me targets that will only be hit decades from now, they are accurate on an extremelly large time-frame, but unless you are counting grand supercycles, they don't hit like non-log. But agreed, def. can do both for awareness.
