What sailor said, makes total sense and is kinda profound, if you think of money in terms of entropy, conservation of energy and thermodynamics. Due to its finite supply it can adhere to scientific principles. I mean it can be a bit philosophical because one could argue that the universe is ever expanding also and that inflation is the natural way. But I guess the idea is that you can have some monetary model with actual rules rather than just some dudes that expand or decrease the supply at a whim.
