Hi,, I used to work at a professional film lab and I am going to answer some of your questions about lighting in this video that you asked several times. In the hotel room, you looked washed out because of all the fluorescent lighting and you were so close to the mirror which also amplified that effect. Fluorescent bulbs do not give off natural looking light. Inside buildings when photographing, if you are not using a flash, ambient light will often appear as yellow looking and outside in a big city outdoor light will be greatly affected by the light pollution from the city. This usually ends up making the sky have an orange glow which will in turn reflect back down throwing the color off. The only way around that is to use a flash which will only fill so much space and that can cause even flash photography to look bad or weirdly lit. That is why professional photographers set up so much light equipment. The shortest way around these issues is to use a filter or color correct them after the fact. :)
