I personally love this commercial. It's meant to be cheesy and comical. And the multiplayer is a bit deeper that CoD. Not saying it's the best thing ever. But it is different and feels fresh to me because of the added necessity of suit energy management. If you can't manage your suit very well you well die a lot. But if you learn to use it properly is makes you feel like a bad ass.

And in fact probably more so as it's fitting to the whole atmosphere, and everything else. It becomes well rounded. It fits. There are other aspects/lessons in art, like the rule or 1/3 - there are aspects of typography that are paramount, there are measurements of all the things you are referring to, which is why I brought up lessons and such as a counter to that - lessons go beyond simply brush strokes. They go into composition. They go into focal points. They go into countless things.

0:10 did you notice that out of the 4 CELL soldiers, Prophet only killed 3 of them? 2 went down when the barrel blew up and the third one got kicked, but what about the fourth one? Well, I guess he got killed by the awesomeness of the trailer (or by the ceph aliens that followed later)

Alright, I did my homework, its Sharp Dressed Man by ZZ Top. I'm 20 and yeah, my knowledge of good old music is very limited, but I must say I discover a lot of awesome music thanks to video games. Just like this one, but also tracks by ACDC, Rolling Stones, Scorpions, Mötley Crüe, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Doors (actually this one is because of Apocalypse Now movie). So yeah, it's not all that bad :P

Kind of, yes. Its mainly hit an run attacks where you pull off some crazy moves to kill off a few people or aliens, and then maybe stealth back up so you can ambush them when they're looking for you. This trailer basically goes against everything that Crysis is about, probably because its the official Gamestop commercial. Look at the 7 wonders of Crysis videos to get a better look at what the game is really like.

I'll answer your final point then: You're wrong about that. It is not filling a market that I'm not a part of - it allows game companies to continue to produce CoD clones just because people like you will buy it, when you guys would also like it if they put more effort into the story, cohesive plotline, better MP, better overall controls, a different engine for once with new assets that are not recycled from older CoD games, fresh content, more guns, and all around a more wholesome experience.

And how that subject matter is portrayed is how it is connected to the lesson comparison I was implying by the way. Plot as a whole affects a game in the same way composition affects the subject matter of a painting. Something like putting a person directly in the middle of a painting would make it far less attractive than putting the person off to the side - hence the rule of 1/3.
