@@markusklein7222 no it's just not practical for them to port the game as its running on a much older version of the cryengine and would be very difficult to port to modern hardware, nevermind remastering it.

Hire Hans Zimmer and Steve Jablonsky for soundtrack in Crysis 4.

Why? Borislav Slavov did a great job on Crysis 2 & 3. Zimmer only did the main theme and some of the tracks that play during the cutscenes. Jablonksy is good too, but still, Slavov did a great job.

@@mvogtde I liked it too. There are some good tracks in the game. The song that plays during ascension and the song called Knee Deep are my favorites. I don't remember if they are one and the same. It's been some years since I played the PC original. However, while I like Crysis 1 more than both two and three, the one thing I like slightly more are the soundtracks in the sequels. I am installing two and three on the Series X right now. I didn't think I would play them this soon after release, but I find myself more excited than I thought I'd be.

I didn't mention him because I think he will be 99% in next Crysis (if they are making it) and for Hans and Steve the chances are low and that's why I mentioned them. I would like to see Hans main theme + a few tracks and rest of soundtrack from Steve and Borislav. Steve did a great job with the transformers and I'd love to see Crysis in similar vibe. Eventually Lorne Balfe would be also good for soundtrack (I really like Terminator Genysis ost from him)

Now remaster Crysis: Warhead because in many ways that's the best game in the series and it's the true sequel to the original. And when you make Crysis 4, bring Nomad back, bring jungle back, bring destruction back, manual leaning, classic nanosuit etc.

@@Souls_Master No, I don't remember it, but I was reading an old comment/discussion I was having about this topic. There is a collectible in Crysis 3 that talks about Nomad surviving the happenings of the comic and him being on the run from CELL. I know it is in there, but to be honest I haven't thought about in a long time so I vaguely remember it, so much so my old comment surprised me because I was like 'wait he survived?' Haha. You can also read it in the Crysis wiki.

Why does like no one just read what they say? Same q*s over and over. Warhead runs on a very old version of cryengine. It would be very difficult and time consuming to port it to modern hardware, and they'd still need to remaster it after that. Crysis remastered was built on the newer, console version of crysis, hence it got remastered. Also because someone will ask, steam release is next year, no there are no plans for multi-player.

If you have never played a console version, it's fine. 1st time players wouldn't know that it's trash. I've always played on console (ps3/ps4) and the remaster messed up the feel of the game. The original layout for aim and shoot has been L1 for aim and R1 for shoot while L2 for armor and R2 for cloak. For 10 years my hands have been trained this way and now it's switched with no way of changing it. They also changed how the jumps are done. Original way was slight press equals small jump and hard press for a power jump each happening with no delay. While the slight press and hard press still acts the same in the remastered version, there is a delayed reaction to the power jump. For 10 years i've played this game and now crytek has decided to run off the true crysis fans by ruining the way the game plays and feels. Good job crytek, you made a game that was truly special feel like a generic fps.

Got the physical copy for the Series X. Crysis 2 and 3 work just fine, but Crysis 1 won't launch, because it requires an update, that is not available. Everytime I try to run the game I get a message that says "Update needed. You need this update, but we can't get it right now. Try again in a while. (0x8b050033)"
