so like, nagito is by far my favourite dr character, i have so many hours of over analyzing him in my head and never got "the right" video on youtube adressing what i missed about experiencing nagito without like, a full plauthrough (which sucks since it takes forever). this video is legit exactly what i was looking for, someone who decided at the start of the game "here is a cool character" (based on design, flow of the game, voice acting, and just randomness), and from that point to be taken in to an amazing roller coaster. seeing the amount of attention he took from you through the video, i have so much in common in that aspect. and also, it was hillarious to me to see you say "i won't remember his name" RIGHT :D thanks for a brilliant video + sub

I don't think he'd change his behaviour too much. He has a rather absolute way of looking at things, if someone failed to resist despair once they're not good enough in his mind. I think he understood the truth well enough to make an informed decision, the details he was missing probably wouldn't have changed his mind. Of course, afterwards he's pretty much kept in check by Super Saiyan 3 Hajime.

I loved him from the beginning, then when he turned out to be crazy I still loved him but it made me really sad and frustrated because I just couldn't understand him. It stayed that way until the trial for his death, when I found out he was hoping Chiaki would be his killer, then I hated him with all my being... and then I got over it and went back to loving him while watching the anime

While I'm sure you've been told about it a number of people, it's heavily implied that all of Nagito's backstory is actually true, and serves as the explanation to both his mental illness and general apathy towards life. He likely says that it was all a lie because he doesn't want people to empathize with him.

My emotions were more or less the same Though i did know what to expect due to 1) never trusting a character that smiles like that and 2) knowing he's one of the most popular characters of the franchise, and in my experience, popular characters tend to be all sorts of messed up Nevertheless this is probably one of the most entertaining reaction videos I've watched- thank you for making a dedicated video 😂

I've said it before, but the rivals get harder and harder to wrap your brain around. Byakuya, while he wasn't an open book, it's not hard to tell what he wants and why he does things. Nagito, his actions and his motives aren't always pointing the same direction, but you can chalk it up to "Dude's brain is turning into swiss cheese." He really should have been chaperoned. I'm assuming if you're here you've played 1 and 2, spoilers for V3 Chapter 5 below break. And then fucking Kokichi, you never really know what he wants or why he is the way he is. His plans and his motives are known only to him. If left to his own devices, he gets up to some shit. You can't really take anything he says at face value.

I think, even being watched over, Kokichi is just a legit chaos gremlin. You can’t trust him even if you’re watching him like a hawk. The rivals did get more chaotic each game. I’m left curious if anyone can top Kokichi?
