Could you do jellies? Like lychee, grass and coconut? Also, why do you need to put oil on top of the water with the spherification method?

Ooh lychee jelly, grass jelly and coconut jelly 🤔 we will experiment and consider it for a future video 😃 thanks for suggesting! The oil is needed to create a layer around the agar as it solidifies into a sphere 🤓 wonders of food science 🧪😋

Thank you ☺️ for making it at home, the mould method is still the most efficient method from our experience. Any other method would require devices that are not so affordable… if you have any other ideas do let us know! 😃

We usually order online from ecommerce stores like Amazon, but we always see Asian supermarkets stocking agar agar powder. Just make sure to buy unflavoured agar agar powder so that you can mix in your own flavours and colours 😊

The oil is necessary if you’re using the oil spherification method. If you want an oil free version, then we suggest using a mould 😊
