Makes sense for Cadence to be Coronation Day Peach Also there was a missed opportunity to put Shining Armor inside the castle Anyways, heres my take for the lore Coughs I think that Sombra Corrupted the Crystal Heart, making it seem normal at first, but when Cadence touched it, It started to spread Crystals around her, as if it was proliferating her body. And crystals started to spread to her horn, unable to use her magic anymore. Then they started to spread to Cadence's eyes, popping them out, completely mutilating her. [Sorry if this is bad lore, and please mind my grammar--]

Friend, this is a cool lore. And yes, you're partly right. According to the original idea, there was supposed to be an infected crystal heart in the background.
