This was a massive song in 1970 in Canada sung by Anne Murray and composed by Gene Maclellan. The song echoes Gene's struggles with depression - it's sad that it takes pain to write some of the best songs.

I developed a brand new respect for them when I see they play instruments also.I especially admire the fact that crystal gail gave up career to stay home with babies and raise family.
