I came here after watching Crystal Renee on B. Simone’s podcast and my thoughts are her sharing a piece of her story to Lecrae’s audience is a true blessing. The realness really blessed me which is why I am drawn to Sarah Jake’s Robert, Lecrae, Crystal Renee and the cast on Sista’s. I haven’t read the comments yet, so I don’t know what was said. But, I pray the voices of us who are in the business of lifting one’s spirit up rings louder than the others.

I mean this in full love, I’ve been rocking with you since After the Music Stops (and will still). But we can’t compromise our values, and try to normalize it for Christians. Talking about sex out of marriage, cursing and other worldly acts in the same breath as talking about living for the Lord just doesn’t work. Fresh water and salt water can’t flow from the same spring. Let’s not promote sin, but rather promote holiness.

Lecrae, please receive this in love, as I truly come in peace. When you have a platform of this magnitude and you are professing Christ, you have to be very careful. The Bible tells us that it is better to tie a millstone around our necks and cast ourselves into the sea than to create a stumbling block for babes in Christ. Matt 9:42. I say this because as a more seasoned believer, I believe this specific episode will cause many to stumble. There is discussion of cussing, drinking, and cohabitating outside of marriage. The Bible tells us to abstain from corrupt communications (Ephesians 4:29) and to abstain from even the appearance of evil (1 Thessalonians 5:22). I am not saying that it is sin to have a glass of wine, but Paul teaches us to be careful not to cause others to stumble. Romans 14:13. Many will see this episode, including those who struggle with drinking who should not be drinking and those who are fornicating, and think it is ok to keep doing these things. Where you both are in your sanctification process is between you and God, but when you profess Christ on a public platform and choose to speak on biblical topics, you are held accountable if you cause others to stumble. As a sister in Christ, I urge you in godly love to examine your heart and repent for the unbiblical teaching and conversation in this video. I would love to see you set fully on fire for God with no compromising the Word. We know it’s in you brother, but this is not it.

I don't usually comment on people's posts and try to point out errors from people but this is very much misleading. I love and appreciate yall following Christ and totally appreciate the authenticity, it's commendable. But the part where the lady speaks about "where in the bible does it say we shouldn't cuss"? Girl, everywhere. Cussing is unwholesome talk, doesn't build up or edify anyone. It's perverse... I also was once a cusser but when Holy Spirit transformed me, I knew it wasn't right anymore. And if you want biblical reference... Ephesians 4:29 AMP [29] Do not let unwholesome [foul, profane, worthless, vulgar] words ever come out of your mouth, but only such speech as is good for building up others, according to the need and the occasion, so that it will be a blessing to those who hear [you speak]. Cussing is vulgar, foul, perverse and this scripture is totally against foul, vulgar and perverse speech and you'll find it all throughout the most of the writings of Apostle Paul. Let us not confuse the body of Christ.. Yes we are all growing but at some stage we have to take accountability for our actions. God bless you all.

Crystal, I say this in love, the enemy doesn’t care if you’re acting. When you use your body (which houses your spirit) as a vessel to act out different scenes that are opposed to God’s word..it’s sin. We all for short but we all have to really consider if what we do honors the Lord. If God was literally in flesh sitting in the room sitting next to you as you did the sex scenes, would you do them? If God was in flesh sitting next to you as you cursed, would you do it? Your heart felt convicted for a reason..don’t let anyone, not even another celebrity, family member, make you feel like you heard God wrong..read the word for yourself and his voice will be the only one that matters as you draw nearer to him❤️

It's always interesting, when the Holy Spirit of God convicts you of something, there's always someone there (the enemy) telling you that what you're doing is "ok" to do. The beautiful thing about God is, as you truly continue to seek him with your whole heart, he will show you his truth. I used to think "cussing" wasn't bad. I was a PROFESSIONAL at cussing!!🤭🤭 BUT God showed me that cussing was not of him at all. Think about it. When you think of the purity and holiness of God, cussing doesn't match the character of God. Can you imagine God cussing.😳 We're made in the image of God. Cussing doesn't represent God at all. If cussing was OK, why is it that true followers of Christ would NOT dare use a cuss word and Jesus name in the same sentence. Everything we say and do is accounted for. Colossians 3:8 NIV [8] But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Ephesians 4:29 NIV [29] Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

As a Christian how can you feel okay even seeing someone who disrespected our Lord. I don’t believe in horoscopes but I’m a “Libra” this is why it’s important to be in our bible. I’m not judging I’m simply telling you this is what I see. So if I see this imagine baby Christian watching this not getting the right message. I get the idea of her not wanting to offend anyone by promoting inclusivity and I also do appreciate her just sharing her authentic journey with us. They don’t lack maturity,they are speaking THEIR truth about THEIR experiences and no one can change what they have experienced. I agree that as the Bible says we are to be more christ-like. It's a tough thing to do that when you're walking around the flesh, not to make excuses for her. I do believe the best thing that we can do if we feel like she's going in the wrong path or maybe not sending the best example. Is for us to pray, prayer is a powerful thing. And keep in mind we're doing this because we love her, so it is in love that we do these things. Add her to your list of prayer requests, that's my advice

Loved the interview 🙌 both of your leadership! This is REAL. Side note of encouragement: You are living your faith out loud in a world where most do not vocalize or display or discuss. This takes boldness, courage, & vulnerability to share your struggles and things you are facing in each season of your lives. Many will be appreciative of your interview. May you read the comments and pray for those casting judgements or criticizing the variety of sensitive topics you touched on. We are living in a new day & navigating new things at new levels where deception is high & false doctrine is present if even in the vein of parallel to 50 shades of gray literally to all the 50 religions of variations of Christianity. God will be who He is to us in every season & He reveals so many good things to us when we are in true relationship with Him. Clearly you are both yielding to God at the center of your decisions and life. Applying your faith 🙏 May God continue to use your voices for every person meant to hear ❤ and in love may you experience blessings on blessings 🙌

52:00 she says that religion was put in place "to give us order" and she essentially doesn't believe that it matters if you are Christian or Muslim as long as we "treat each other right". She clearly doesn't understand Christianity or seem to have a personal conviction about it. the stories she tells about her dating experiences with men implies that they are living together., she is discussing horoscopes, she is an actress performing very worldly roles when we are called to be a light ... I don't know about this guest, Lecrae.

I see a lot of people judging & many people not listening I grew up in church & I completely understand where they coming! Growing up in church and actually accepting Jesus & having a relationship with the Lord is different! I know many of us didn’t like to wake on a Sunday morning go to church etc, many of us being young went to church for our church friends to catch up & stuff! But i remember I told my mom one day that that wasn’t going to church anymore until I found Jesus for myself! And when I did I started going to church again I started to understand why we did all that we did growing up! Just cause kids / young adults be in the church don’t mean they know the Lord hence to why we used to be outside & be in church on Sunday morning 😂.

This conversation was very disappointing . Lots of justifying for lukewarm behavior and mentality. So many contradictions. Perfection is not expected but we should strive for it even though we will fall short . Thank God for his Grace. There’s no such thing as having a “balance”, cursing is not something we should be okay with, don’t say “I’m not into astrology , but im a Libra “. Say you have convictions but continue to portray sex scenes that does not glorify the Lord . You’re not excused because you’re acting . You will still be held accountable. At the end of the day , everyone has an individual walk but I hope people don’t look up to this conversation, and instead just listen for entertainment purposes only

This was such an awesome interview. I can relate to Crystal in many ways. Being a daughter of the Lord is the Best place to be. However, it's definitely challenging being an educated, business professional, and a black woman over 40 in the dating world. Praying for our black men to strive for holiness in their lives and can still take you to a hip hop concert every now and then. Lol
@print33286 ай бұрын
I think the thing is, when you are truly striving towards holiness, things like a hip hop concert will have no appeal to you anymore. Most of the lyrics are terrible! I literally cringe at some of the songs I used to listen to. I can’t listen to them anymore like I once did when I was lukewarm. When you really consider that our bodies houses the Holy Spirit, His Spirit inside of you will become grieved hearing certain things.

Be very careful judging either party in this episode (Luke 6:41). You don’t have to agree with everything (cussing, honestly about possible sexual immorality, balance of lifestyle), but this is why all members of the Body of Christ serve a different purpose and have varying gifts (Romans 12:4). And let me be clear: this comes from someone mindful of cursing, music lyrics, and gossiping, and I am celibate! I’m far from lukewarm but I practice the entire WORD, not parts. You never know how much God values another, and using your voice to judge may place you in contempt (Matthew 7:1). Jesus’s disciples were betrayers, liars, and thieves, among other things, but they walked beside Him. Furthermore, He traveled the earth and interacted with all types of people. Your walk may look different, but remember, LOVE is most significant (Matthew 22:36-39) (1 Corinthians 13:13). Focus on your relationship and wisdom. Let God reveal to them what He pleases, when He pleases if He pleases (John 8:7). Let’s Appreciate them both for being vulnerable and loudly claiming our Lord's name (Romans 14:11). Do your work and practice being slow to speak, especially if you didn’t seek God’s voice before doing so (James 1:19). Ensure your character mimics God’s. And YOUR Spirit is full of the suitable fruits, so you earn favor for your righteous works (Proverbs 10:32) (Proverbs 3:34). To more Abundant Life! Blessings 🤍

There is no condemnation in Christ, however, when the disciples and people encountered Christ, he told them to go and sin no more. (James 8:11) Should we continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid (Romans 6:1-2)
@EndeshaMonique6 ай бұрын
@@print3328I agree with you but in the grand scheme of things we only know in part (1 Corinthians 13:9). I definitely don’t condone a lifestyle of sin but who are we to determine Gods Divine Timing? We are to Love and Intercede (pray for others), not judge or gossip. That’s all I’m saying. May the Lord Bless you abundantly for speaking His Word. 🤍
@print33286 ай бұрын
@@EndeshaMonique That is true, we only know in part, but thankfully the Father has also made a lot known to us through His word. We are not to judge unbelievers but we can correct other believers, in love. After we have first examined ourselves of course. (Matthew 7:1-5, It is better for us to help one another while we are still alive, so that we can have time to repent, than to be judged before the Father, when we can no longer repent. Also, people who have a platform should use it very wisely. We will be held accountable for every word (Matthew 12:36, 1 Corinthians 5:12-13) I sense that Crystal has a sweet spirit, so I am praying for her, that she’ll fully submit to the Lord. She would surely have a beautiful testimony to share. May the Lord bless you as well and let us be like the 10 wise virgins and store up oil while it is still daylight ❤️🙏🏾

@@print3328 Beautifully articulated and scriptural. I sense your heart is in the right place (with our Lord’s), and my original statement wasn’t for believers of His likeness. I saw a lot of questionable comments that did not lead with Love. And as I’m sure you know, we are first to pray and then extend grace, forgiveness, and accountability for our words/actions before offering anything (Matthew 5:23-24). They won’t do everything right because they’re of flesh as we are. I know I’m not perfect, but I seek to die to myself and pick up my cross daily (Luke 9:23). There’s no doubt that they have seen these comments reflected upon the content and compared it to their faith in God’s Word. We all go from glory to glory. It’s an opportunity for growth. Thank God for that. God Bless you, my friend, and keep doing the work. I took a moment to serve in this capacity because you took a moment of your valuable time to respond, but I have ministries to tend to and others to reach. I don’t comment much on social media to remain mindful of the context and to not offend my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. However, I wanted to ensure I did not offend your heart. So, I wish you well in all your endeavors. Walk in Wisdom 🤍
