These are the sculptures in The Dinosaur Court in Crystal Palace Park, London. This must qualify as the first theme park in history and is well over a century old. The three main species are Megalosaurus, Iguanodon and Hylaeosaurus. As well as this there are whole host of other prehistoric creatures including a range of mammals such as Megatherium and the Irish Elk. If you go to London you need to visit this exhibit, its free, and then complain to the council about the state of the place. Sadly its a national treasure being allowed to go to ruin. The music is from 'The New World Symphony'.

I'm so mad I forgot to go see these when I was in London a few years back. I'm very glad they still exist, as a reminder of how science marches on.

I have been seeing these sculptures in various documentaries from since I was a baby; I have always wanted to see them in person, lucky you!

@minkpauls I'm pleased that somebody young has benefited from this. If you ever get the chance to take your son to see these wonderful sculptures take it. It took me 40 years from first seeing them in a book when I was seven to actually get there. It was worth every minute when I did and it was free! I even bumped in to a genuine cockney geezer who moaned on about how the council aren't taking proper care of them. There is a really ace cafe in the park too, wonderful chips!

I'm going to see these in July for my 25th Birthday. I have been saving for half a year for the flight from Canada. I'm so excited.

Well you are in for a treat. They are a real piece of history. If you are in London then you need to go to the Natural History Museum too. Like most nationally owned attractions they are both free to enter. If you get to Oxford, go to the Natural History Museum there and between the two museums you will see the very first dinosaur bones ever officially recognised. Good luck with your journey. Enjoy your fossil finding.

My pleasure Ellinor. I visit whenever I am in London. I am interested to hear somebody, somewhere, might be aware there is real need for preservation.

I did notice the music....I think there could be a better choice ....Hall of the mountain king by Peer Gynt would have been my choice ..for example ?

The dinosaur standing up (1:57secs) has a hole in its belly that a few small children can fit into. How do i know this?. well, when i was about 7 yrs old (a LONG time ago) my friends an I got onto the island and into that dinosaur and as we were hanging our arms out of its mouth a passerby was taking pictures from the footpath. I bet they had a good laugh, I know we did. giggling little children. Some things stick with you for the rest of your life.
