Great tutorial for how to thicken a font! I had a favorite font that I wanted to use on a shadow box but it was way too thin and the 0.04 size was just perfect.

Hi! The font is called Samantha Font. It used to be offered on Creative Fabrica but it isn't any longer. You can google it though to see where the designer is offering the font now.

Can you use this when you have thin lines on cut out picture
@CrystalsCrafties4 ай бұрын
It really depends on the design. If the original design was SVG you may be able to. If it was a png or jpg you won't be able to isolate the exact lines you're wanting to thicken.

Hi I tried this trick and at first it worked well, my fonts were thicker. But now when I try to do it again with the same font the offset disappears or it is to thick. What should I do

The shadow is the outline you'll use to thicken your font.

Is there a way to “open” up letters? When i try this with Autumn in November font, it closes up my letter E. No matter how low i go…i.e. .030. Is there just some fonts it wont work with?.
@CrystalsCrafties2 жыл бұрын
I was able to take this one down to 0.005 and the "e" stayed open. If you want a larger offset there is a workaround. 1. Type your word 2. Duplicate the word 3. Contour the duplicated word until there is nothing left but the opening of the "e". (Click Contour and then in the right side bar click on every little object except the opening of the "e". I also have a video on contour if you're not familiar with using it.) 4. Create the offset for your original word however you'd like it. 5. Place the contoured out "e" in position on top of your offset where it should go and then slice it out.

You may just need to adjust the size of your offset and change the color.
