From a designers perspective it is perfect. Going taller would take away from the gorgeous architecture elements of your home. The placement of the mums and pumpkins lead your guest right up to your door. It’s clean, simple, and elegant. Bravo.

I love the porch, Crystal! The scale of your home and porch would allow for large items like the cornstalks and hay bales if you wanted to add them. To keep your mums alive longer, water them from the bottom. Set them in a basin of water for 20 to 30 minutes whenever they get dry.😊

It’s looking nice but I think you need some decor that is taller or garland around your door. Your home is high and everything is low.

Looks awesome Crystal! I was coming to the comments to give some advice, but it looks like everyone agrees. You need height at the front door. You will need to get accustomed to decorating bigger since you have a more grand house.Your heielooms need to be elevated, and you should get cornstalks flanking your front door. That's my advice 😊

It looks beautiful. In the past when my kids were younger I used to do more decorating. Now I just can’t bring myself to spend the money. If you do as much as you did it can really add up. No judgment at all. Just a different season of life for me now.

Did you know if you put your mums in a bucket of water for 30 minutes, they stay more hydrated and you water them less! Looks cute, you need of of those fall trees with lights in the corners either the pumpkins 🎃🎃🎃🧡. That would look amazing ❣️

Yes!!!!! Load it up. Lol. FYI viral TikTok going around but already knew about. Get a large bucket or 2 and fill with water and set the mum down the the water for about 20-30 minutes to really soak up all the water it can. Always water from the bottom too. They will last a lot longer. I think something tall on each side of the door would be nice. But all and all it is very nicely done.

Generally, I don't have a problem picking out my mums ! In our county, the school colors are Purple & Gold !!! So, with homecoming and our SMHS colors, it is solved for us !! :)

I think everything looks fabulous Crystal, great job as usual! I used cornstalks last year n a friend cut them n brought them so it didn’t cost anything, BUT with the wind, bad weather etc. they made such a mess for me that I decided not to do it again and I even had twine n had them tied around posts, plus they blew loose pieces into out pond net n all through the landscaping! I at least tried it so I now I know n u can always do that next yea4 if u want? Lol there are no rules haha! Great video n thank u so much sharing, it’s fabulous! Hi Crystal and Charlie! Great job on the porch, Crystal! Love all the mums and pumpkins! They really pop up against the neutral colors of your porch. I did a little pre-Fall on my porch for now. One of our local nurseries/gift stores have these big mums and I always get one for the front and one for my studio. Have bought some faux pumpkins from TJMaxx that are heavy and very cool looking. They are out now but my front porch flowers are doing so well with all the rain we've beet getting, I'm going to leave them for now. I have a lit Fall tree I'm putting in the porch corner but right now there's a huge fern there that is doing so good, I don't want to move it just yet! I may get a couple of mums for the back deck as I do like to look outside and see some Fall out there before it's replaced by snow! Have a good weekend, friend!
