Just an idea from a designer. I think you need more “Color”. There’s so much white, grey, tan. I noticed the green pillow you used on the sofa…that looks great! Build off of that. Bring in more accessories with “green” in them. Great job 👍

I also think the large area rug under the table just blends in with the sofa and walls, chairs. It would be beautiful if you had an area rug with more color in it. (Greens) Don’t be afraid of color. 👍♥️

You had such cute stuff on your shelves in your last home. Can you use some of those on these shelves. The flat bowls on top do nothing. Your White House’s would look so good up there for winter months. Also setting some baskets or lanterns on fire place would make it look more homey and not so cold. Even some books with a throw or pillow?? You have a beautiful home. I could not go wo color. Gray and white, is to sterile. As a floral decorater, you stuff your stems in to deep. They should have more height to them.

Just an idea. Put the bowl back on the left side. Then push the big pot on the right side over and put the taper candle holder to the right of it. Use the baskets in your black cabinet. I decorate for winter with little houses too. I use a lot of greenery, some birch logs, and a bunch of brass candle holders with white candles. I mix in some of my vintage teapots and that's about it.

I agree with comments about incorporating birch logs on your hearth and maybe use moss balls and pinecones to add texture and warmth to the room.

Maybe put the other basket on the left side of hearth filled with birch logs and/or a throw. Otherwise, everything looks great! Also, you could try standing one of the trays up on one of the shelves…just a thought!

Hi Crystal.the room looks nice but it’s way to white. For example, on the right side of the couch ( as you’re looking at it), you have a white lamp and two white pillows and then the white chairs… it’s just to white and stark looking. It isn’t really warm looking and lacking in texture. Also, maybe add some more black or even charcoal gray to your shelves? There are so many white things it kind of looks eh😳💓

I think some of the green moss balls would look nice in both of the dough bowls on the top shelves for a pop of color and symmetry. Love the sectional pulled away from the window. Always enjoy your videos.

I think for the herringbone baskets on either side of the fireplace look great, but try turning both of them so one of their corners is facing to the front (so the wider side of the basket is angled to the side), if that makes sense? Like a triangle/diamond shape from the front.

Suggestion. I would put the cream colored items in the black colored cabinet in dining room. Putting them on the shelves with cream walls behind it they just blend in. They would pop in the black cabinet.

Love the sectional pulled away from the wall of windows. The pillow & covers look good! I agree with the majority of your followers in regards to your decor on the shelving…Larger decor items are needed and it doesn’t have to be symmetrical. Your Columbia hoodie vest looks very nice on you! Try putting the large basket on the bottom shelf on the opposite side and place the white vase with greenery in the middle. It is large enough to stand alone. Decorating the shelving on both sides is coming together. It is trial and error. The framed art on your TV is AMAZING! Your room looks pretty , but if I can make a suggestion maybe add a basket by the fireplace and maybe put a pillow and blanket in it or maybe a couple of blankets with some color:) I really like your vest :) It looks great on you:) that’s funny see your hubby and your puppy dog in the tractor clearing out the snow:) tfs and God bless:)

I’m not a fan of being totally symmetrical. So therefore, I think one basket on the shelves in the living area and one in the black cabinet is great! Everyone is different though, so you do what makes you happy❤

I think you should make the ends of the couch’s have the same pillow arrangement, like the one on the left with the plaid and white pillow. Then in the middle do 1 white with the green! It would bring more color to the right side rather than all white!

I have always enjoyed your warmth and kind ways. You have great style however..... Your old decorating style was warm, homey and cozy. I just can't connect with this new sterile, white decor. What a fun video! I think the first final view was perfect! The basket really warms up the space and ties in nicely with the color of the mantle and shelves. I actually liked one basket on one side and the bowl on the other side. Hi Crystal! I liked the Kirkland's bowl with the greenery a little more than the baskets but both look good. Finally all the Christmas decor is down only because we closed on Friday and Saturday due to the bad weather we've been having. Now that we are done with the snow and ice we are in the double digits below zero. Yikes! But it was timely for me or it would have taken me forever to have the time to take down everything. So just.a few things to do, like clean the perimeter rooms and do a little decorating for Valentine's Day in those rooms. Nice to have Christmas packed away! Tomorrow the last boxes will go downstairs. I think the shelves look great!

What about just centering the large pot on that bottom shelf and centering the lanterns on the left side. I also add large pinecones as accent pieces ☺️

I think curtains warms up a room, even if you never close them, it just makes the room seem cozier, maybe some blinds on your top windows on a remote, u may like them in the summer, your room is big and beautiful, it just seems so cold and sterile with the bland colors and the sparseness, maybe some greenery
