Hi Crystal... Lol living in a western mountain state so have not started cleaning, planting or decorating. We had 6-12 inches if snow last week and cold temps(29 degrees at night) and its still a cold rain falling this week. Looks like maybe warmer weather is coming. Your flower pots look lovely. We also have a very short Summer season so I plant what we like!

My husband and I moved into our new house last July so it’s our first spring here. The previous owner took pretty well care of the yard but she was getting older and some things were neglected. Last summer we focused on inside the house. But so far this spring we have been able to clean up and put new mulch in the front yard flower bed. The plants/bushes in it were all thriving but we just cleaned out leaves and weeds. We did the same with a flower bed on the side of our house. In the back we have half of our 1 acre yard is woods so my husband cut down a bunch of dead trees and stacked logs and cleaned a bunch of trash in the woods just to get it looking less rough. Half our yard on one side is on a slope and has huge tiered flower beds built into the hill. We leaf blew all the leaves out of it and are halfway done with weeding those but they’re so massive. Soon we will put down new mulch there too. The actual grass was in good shape so we’ve done our first few mows. We only have a small front step but in the back we have a cement patio. I’m kind of stumped what to do with it. It’s just a slab of like concrete. I have some plastic Adirondack chairs out and a set of 4 chairs and a table with umbrella. So far that’s all that I can fit back there. The rest of the backyard that isn’t woods is actually really flat and nice and grassy. It almost makes up for the small patio having the flower beds, grass and woods in the back

Love your flower pots - white and yellow is my fave flower color combo. My husband does the pressure washing around here with our gas powered one so while I wait for him I've been planting my flower pots and weeding the beds. We've had such a wet and cold spring that we are a bit behind on sprucing things up outside. He's been working on our camper remodel in the meantime!

Chiming in from Saskatchewan Canada, just starting cleaning up the yard this week. It's been raining or snowing for weeks. My yard was a lake. It's finally almost dry enough to rake it. I bought a few flowers but will take the kids along next time to finish filling the pots. Great inspiration 👏 ❤

Looks great Crystal! We just had our whole house pressure washed (1st time siding has been washed in 10 years), some siding replaced, chimney exterior rebuilt with siding, a new back door & total exterior painted! It's our 10 yr anniversary gift to ourselves & it's made a big difference! Looks like a brand new home! We decided to remove our front porch swing & may put a bench on the porch, new door mat, added a new USA flag & I came across 2 urn planters at Lowes that I absolutely love. Added Ferns to them for each side of the front door. I like your lanterns too. I still want to make a Welcome sign, repaint the exterior of our front door & maybe a few hanging plants. I'm definitely in the outdoor-spruce-up mode now! Looking forward to more of your outdoor videos. Back deck and sitting areas are next on my list!

I live in a wooded neighborhood. Here in South central PA, our trees and grasses shed heavy pollen through the end of May. I basically power wash my entire exterior in early June. We have to literally use a razor blade to remove the dried pollen and dirt from the roof windows on our covered deck. This is a 3-4 day job. EVERYTHING outside is pollen encrusted. Pollen is still “heavy” per the Weather Channel, but I plan to start the big cleanup and decorating on Thursday-Sunday because we are having family for Memorial Day 👍🏻 PS. I ❤️❤️❤️ those WalMart planters.

Hi Crystal! Everything turned out so nice! I have those same rustic planters and I love them. I brought out my large one and put a big red geranium in it for the front of my home. They are just so pretty. I looked everywhere for them as at the time, as Walmart was out. I think I ended up ordering them online from Target. Worth the money for sure! I have a few more pots to plant over the weekend as I made another run at a local flower/gift place we have in town later on Sunday. Then I'm done. We've had some cold nights, but all the plants have been hanging in there Now we have quite a bit of rain coming in tomorrow. Ugh! More rain! Geez! But Memorial Day weekend looks to be nice and warm. Can't wait!

We have had so many cold & windy days. I want to spray paint our outdoor furniture. The flowers are planted though. Our house has vinyl siding but I need to paint a small bathroom window. I did wash quite a few windows. We have the tilt in ones so they are easy to clean.

I will have to try it next time. I live in Houston, Texas so my plants have been in the ground for over a month now. Filling the pots with stryofoam, etc. also makes them a lot lighter to move to where you want them after you've added your flowers, lol :)

Hey girl heeeeeeeeey, well, here in Georgia even last week we've had temperatures in the 90s! Already!! So I'm about done with my outside front and back! Yay! The only thing I really want is a couple of citrus trees actually lemon trees, and for some reason they're so hard to find right now! I also have a ornamental pond in my backyard that I made myself...sort of a beginner's looking pond but I like it, actually I wish that it would have been cooler when I started all this when I saw you and your long sleeve shirt I was so jelly 😆 🤣
