ive been studying the religious/magical tradition of ancient greek goetia recently, which translates to something akin to 'wailing' because the practitioners were funeral mourners and death-midwives by trade, and i really feel like this music is a contemporary part of such a tradition. goetes were said to be able to summon the spirits of the dead with their cries of lamentation, and truly their emotion was their power in such feats. this music features heavy themes of mourning, and even of restless spirits haunting the narrator who were never given proper burials and lain to rest in peace. their struggles remain unresolved, and for that they cannot move on. by lamenting them, their needs are acknowledged and their bitterness is assuaged until they and we can at last part in peace. perhaps not happily, or even fully forgiven, but healed enough that we may go their separate roads to recover in our own ways

Exceptions are labeled (the reimaginations and the collabs with Roniit, for example), and honestly, even more insanely good in most cases. This is so unexplainably beautiful honeslty. I read the description and I gave myself no other choice but to save every single thing you said in a document. That was truly inspriring. The transitions between these songs is amazing. I remember when I was young, I had a tiny green iPod shuffle (yep the tiny square) tucked under my bed and my earbuds on with "Whisper ft. Emalyn" on repeat for every night, having no idea who I was listening to. All I knew was that I loved the song. When time went by and I could never forget your name, I was fortunate enough to be there when you streamed that breathtaking preview of DYSPHORIA. I remember how excited and hype I was to be apart of something so amazing and beautiful. it seems like just yesterday you released "Stomach It ft EDEN" which is one of my favorites. The emotion you rocketed into the high notes towards the end of the acoustic version gets me every time. And now it has been a while since you released Cataclasm, and I could never explain my feelings towards the EP. I wish I could make it to one of your shows, which unfortunately I cannot. Ive researched every name of each song on the EP, watched the series of how you made it, and read the lyrics over and over. Your voice is gorgeous and really, the whole EP is a labyrinth filled with so much emotion and secrets and stories and lifetimes worth of imagination. Thank You, I definitely feel inspired, this album has without a doubt changed my life and "stirred something deep inside me".

For a couple years now I've been recovering from the mistakes I've made. Heartbreak authored by my hands, a back twisted up in knots that seemingly will not mend. Despite the hurt being evidence, I know it is also the fuel for my power. When I listen to the melodies here my chest stirs embers that leave my hairs on end. If you are reading this and you hurt deeply, then listen to this gently and whisper thanks to yourself. You have scars from the battle, but it is not over until you give up or you win.

Rarely do I feel the music crawl down my spine and send shivers throughout my body, but when that does happen, I know that the music is truly special. Every single piece transitions beautifully into the next, each piece stands out with its own atmosphere and feeling, but comes together remarkably as a wonderful 50 minute masterpiece that I could spend days listening to. In fact I have, and every time I do, I find a new little gem that finds its way to my heart. This is actually the first time I've heard anything by Crywolf, but it definitely will not be the last. Amazing job. As a creator myself, I have found something that helps inspire me to create, in the hopes of doing what this album has done for me.

I've always drank alone, for the past decade at least. I think my mom really messed me up throughout the time i had to be in her house, endless screaming. She loved me, that's for sure. I've always had my music, though it is only my tertiary outlet, it has always held a special place in my "heart". Sometimes fighting for it all, sometimes ripping it apart for reason, sometimes sending it deep below to die or be reborn. I see money as power, power feeds ego. Justin seems untouched in his words. There are many interpretations to his words, I only personally hope he is not singing to a woman or women in general. These words are so powerful, they can change the world. His voice is excellent to me, unfortunately i cannot tell that his only focus is his voice as i did with Chester Bennington, of course, what voice altering mechanisms did Bennington have at his disposal? Jared Leto is the master of words on an omnilogical level in my opinion. To sum up; I think Justin owes a lot of his success to the dark meloDIES that accompany his seemingly tortured soul. His words though... "Good God" Justin.... Help us Further

I've been listening to this album for over a year now (not continuously, of course, and mostly on Spotify), and I thought I should leave a comment here. This album is something I never thought I'd listen to, when I first clicked. I'm a metalhead, always have been, always will be. But this album...it's beautiful. This album brings out emotions that I can't describe, and you know you've done good when your audience can't even put their thoughts into words. So, Crywolf, although you may never see this comment, I'd just like you to know that you have done a wonderful thing by creating this album. Every time I listen, I get the same sense of awe, the same chills that I got when I heard it the first time. You've created something I can listen to time and time again, and still find new things to love about each song. You've given me, and countless others, an album for inspiration, an album for those sad days, an album to fall asleep to... But I'm just waxing poetic at this point. Thank you, Crywolf.

this album seems to do a lot with my life. It's like listening to my own mind if my thoughts were told with music instead of words. Nice deep harmony.

Glad I didn't find this earlier. I wouldn't have recognized the greatness in this piece of art and I would've just forgotten it... Now it's the moment. I want this to be my life's soundtrack.
