Counter Strike 1.6 holds a special place in my heart as I celebrate my 21st birthday today. Introduced to me by my father over 15 years ago on his old PC in the pharmacy where he worked, it became more than just a game, it's a reminder of the precious moments shared with loved ones. Best idea I've had thus far into 2024 as a grown ass 32 yr old man wasn't finally signing up to complete my FAFSA & finding a free tuition plan on an associate's degree in comp-sci, but finally installing cs1.6 again & rediscovering how much better the gameplay is (than it is in cs2's hot mess of a game)

Just google gametracker and you can find servers in any country you like and 90% of the time they are full.

I know this comment is old. But those lots are duplicates of few of the same, heavily modified servers. Although I play on two servers, which are pure cs and good, although with global chat and where you can spectate both teams. But those servers are based in Poland.

Turning off? You mean why they use it so much? it makes faster responding movement after, rather than jumping, and it glitches out the character visual for a moment, missing headshots more frequent

They are not pro players. Just random guys from public. Cs 1.6 is dead since ~2013. There are no good players in a dead game. They all play like in csdm servers, without brain+strategy. And what did you expect? They don`t earn money in a dead game, so there is no motivation to grow and no good players to learn from , like it was when cs had a massive competition.

​ @thf1933 То, что 5х5 в 1.6 не развивается виноваты токсичные у`ебки играющие на фк и сами админы фк, которые никак не против оскорблений и токсичности. Я решил начать пробовать себя в 5х5, поиграть, реально интересно. Сыграл 3 матча и без преувеличений, во всех матчах 4 тиммейта х$уесосили меня за плохую игру. Кто после этого захочет продолжить играть? А потом ноете что игра умирает
