Gotta do pt 2!! I love it all but listening to these fellas tell their combat stories is the best. If you could ask them more about missions. Even if it’s asking them to recount their funniest moments during missions, scariest, or maybe if they can remember moments in their deployments where they were just absolutely dialed in and in the groove. Similar to a basketball player that can’t miss. I hope to hear more about these elite warriors being exceptional. Or even not exceptional just a normal smooth mission or a not so smooth of a even a mission where maybe they struggled and they where missing shots… etc… whatever ya know just the details of what they consider normal but to us boring civilians that love and respect these fellas for their sacrifice to the US are fascinated by those missions. Good job brother!

I just keep asking myself what would we do without these men and women. I remember SecDef Rumsfeld doing a press briefing early on being asked what these early emissaries of American justice had asked for in the way of immediate resupply. Without a bit of irony he replied “Oats”. May God bless the families of the lost and lives of these surviving warriors who took the message through the front door of those who hate us.

@@tony180a Thanks for helping me learn, Tony :) I didn’t know if it was a slang term or whatnot. I will have to learn more about that team and their mission. As an aside, I happen to be watching an episode of The Team House-Adam White #78-and Adam told a story about teaming up with a SF Warrant Officer to do some fantastic work. I’m always pausing and looking as much up as I’m able to find and happen to have paused to learn about the 180A MOS. I’m going out on a limb here and assuming because of your username, but if you’re a 180a do you go through every SF course a single 18-series MOS would take (like the 18d course or 18f, etc), or do you track in one? I have learned WOs are a rarer breed, and I love the idea of getting insanely proficient at both 1 thing and all the things lol. What would you say?

Man I tell you what. I read that book The Horse Soldiers of Afghanistan and it was just unbelievable. Then I saw they were making the movie.. The 12-strong and I was all excited about it cuz the book was so goddamn good and detailed about everything that they did. everything between them and Dostum the Afghanistan warlord they hooked up with. Now one of the coolest things for me was I think it was 2010 or 11 general moholland had just taken over socim as the commander of special operations. he was the colonel in charge of the horse soldiers in Afghanistan. I got a coin from general mullholland. huge man. dude had to be 6'4" 250 pounds straight SF dude.. But yes still have the coin from a general muholland.. always thought that was really cool..Than the movie comes out and it's just shit. I hear that the producers of the movie and director brought the guys there to have them help with the movie. Than they only brought them there for 3 days or something. totally did them wrong. The movie could have been so much more. But just an awesome book. I'd put it up there with the 160th SOAR nightstalkers book. RLTW 3/75

@chrisculley37562 жыл бұрын
@@Arbiter710 A 100% it's soft and there were so many cool moments in the book that were Could have easily been put in the movie.. The one good thing that they did do was win the Captain was like I'm not gonna just do A-bomb drop on those people we can't even see them we don't even know if that's a taliban.. Dostum Fix up the icom radio and calls out his taliban Friend razim Hey razim the Americans don't think you're the towel band you're the tower ban we're here with the Americans f*** y** and you hear all the tally in the back of the radio it's very happy that they did that part because one of the needest things about the book was the relationship that they had with the Afghan soldiers and dostum. But yeah if you read that book they've got horse soldiers definitely go checked out the 160 is soar night nightstalkers it's all about the creation of the 160th unit and it goes through in detail all of the major operations they were involved in. It's a great book. RLTW 3/75
