The subtle shift from "This is CS50" at the end of the Introduction video to "This was CS50" at the end of this last video. This and the silent goodbye wave brought a tear to my eyes after binge watching this video series over the past week to try to get up to speed on Python quickly. I never watched any of the Harry Potter movies or read the books, but whenever I hear mention of Harry/Hermione/Ron/Draco/Gryffindor/Slytherin again, I'll always think back to the fond memories of learning from this CS50 course and remembering David's voice again explaining the various concepts using the Harry Potter references. Thank you David and staff for providing this well taught course to the public at no cost so that as many people as possible can learn and be inspired from it. You've all provided a wonderful service.

I was watching the course live,but at some point I have missed some lectures.I got fascinated how Proffesor Malan keep lecturing for longer amount of time on the original footage.While it is a great pleasure to watch the whole series in shorter duration but by knowing how much effort was spent on filming,lecturing and the knowledge of a lifetime is just invaluable. So thanks for everything Proffessor and whole the team(crew) who worked on the course. Now it is time to study properly.

This is simply the best python course I have ever come across and taken. I couldn't recommend this enough to anyone starting out with python. It might seem a bit difficult if you are just starting out with programming but this course will 100% give you a huge headstart in your programming journey. The strongest part about this course, I felt were the carefully curated problem sets that try to solve a real world problem that you may come across. Solving real world problems will help you assimilate concepts way faster than solving made up ones. I am eternally grateful to Dr. David Malan and team for this outstanding creation.

Hi Mate, Just completed the course as well. But I am really short of ideas for the final project any advice you can share how to come up with an idea😅? Would really appreciate your advice. Thanks!
@el-mismisimo-zv5qk Жыл бұрын
@@shakalaka3564 Hi! I'll try to give you some tips. so for starters, i had an idea since a few weeks before the final one so i didn't have to think a lot about what should i do, the only advice i can give you on that matter is that you should do something that you are interested in or that you would use. In my case, i'm making a Todo-list because i love self improvement and setting goals so the idea came naturally. Once you have one idea, you should write down all the things you want the project to have like functionalities, if it needs to be done using OOP or only functions,etc. I advise you to do this so the project doesn't become a mess to follow. I did all of this in figma so i could do a nice flow chart that made the structure more clean to follow but you could do it on paper or on any other app or page. Beside all of those concrete things, i just want to encourage you to keep going even if it looks scary at first glance, i know it feels kind of terrifying to develop something on your own but if you keep pushing forward, i can promise to you that things will eventually work out. Good luck!! (If more advise needed, feel free to ask again, also, sorry if something is written wrong, English is my second language)
