Felt the explosion shockwave in my home in Cleburne TX some 45 miles away I'll never forget that. God bless the Victims and Families. Love the the town of West always stop by Slovecks or Chech Stop. I last heard that Arson started the initial fire and is still under investigation

You could see the smoke cloud from my work in Ft. Worth. It ruined the whole town of West for a while, very, very sad. A lot of people died.

Not true. All responding parties, including the CSB, have determined to the best of their knowledge, that a Golf cart short circuit caused the fire. NO evidence of arson has been uncovered.

Ammonium nitrate is also used as explosives.

You know that’s kind of stupid having a fertilizer plant right in the middle of town I’m surprised they didn’t have A nuclear bomb storage facility in the middle of town whose bright idea was that anyway usually facilities like this have to be outside of town not in the middle! And now they have an A reward of $50,000 for any information well if I was in charge of this case I would’ve at least offered $1 million-$2 million because of the loss of life and the destruction! It actually was on the very north side of the City of West,just inside the city limits on Jerry Mashek Rd. But the shockwave knocked houses off their foundations well into town,including those of a couple of relatives. And this could've been MUCH worse,as the nursing home (West Rest Haven) had full length picture/patio windows,and the main dining area/day room on the side facing the direction of the blast. Unfortunately for 'those' residents,,the Apartment house across N.Reagan took most of the brunt of the blast?

@@MrThestevster Some were saying an insurance job gone wrong. Also some talk it was a defective charging unit for a golf cart used within the plant. But no one knows for sure?

Why is the wrong building cartooned, on fire? It was the mechanic's shed burning in the films next to the one you show set on fire, and the fire went sideways in the other direction not up. The fire was on the roof, not any evidence of the fire being from inside the shed. This is not an accurate depiction you show, just another cartoon...
