tas times from power on, plays on english, has to watch the intro and doesn't stop timing until the final input before the credits, so it's actually still several minutes faster than this. If you adjust these the tas should be closer to a 1:26 RTA.

When you fall from a certain height with the Morph Ball, you bounce a little, but if you get up at the moment of this bounce and perform the usual operation to activate the Shine Spark, you can produce a Shine Spark just above the ground.Sorry if you already knew that.

I was able to get 1:48 today but I forgot to do that one check in lower sector 4 aka "worst room in the game" and had to go back and get it at the end(so had I not missed that check maybe I would've gotten 1:45?

So Painfull to Watch 🤦🏼‍♂️ Metroid is NOT RNG! so Many Pointless actions Made to make it Look over Skilled... Placing Bombs repeatedly in tunnels where they aren't needed. Got Borin after 15mins. Metroid Games are based on FPA to Speedrun.. But hey, You already know that.

You do not know what you're talking about. There's lots of rng in the metroid series, probably MOST NOTABLY in Fusion. Eyedoors are roughly 50/50 whether they shoot beams or not, the Morph Ball boss's attack patterns are rng, the Hi Jump boss gives you a random number of jumps, the Space Jump boss cycles around the room a random number of times before it'll open it's mouth. Almost every enemy in the game has multiple patterns that it can choose from and many of those patterns must be accounted for by the player. THESE ARE BASED ON RANDOM NUMBER GENERATION AND THE FUNCTIONS THAT USE THEM. Placing bombs repeatedly is because pressing buttons is fun, or I'm just in the habit of placing bombs in certain places for my own timing, not to make it look complex, the same way I shoot at random when I'm running in a straight line. You're also talking about the comparatively lower-skill part of the run in the first 15 minutes, where we don't have the full moveset, so the movement is going to be more basic. The game isn't boring AFTER 15 minutes, it's boring BEFORE 15 minutes, probably even before 20-25 minutes where the game picks up in and after sector 4. If you want the most exciting part of the run, skip to the cleanup part of the run at about 1:14:00 If you want to act like you know everything about the game, you have to actually know something about the game.
