Hi, yes, it is. January students are all going to be private candidates, meaning that they will write Paper 3 as opposed to doing an SBA. Papers 1 and 2 will be done as usual. 5:55 gives details on Paper 3

Hi, sorry, I don't know a lot about the SBA because I mostly focus on private candidates who do Paper 03/2. However, I can say that the SBA is known as Paper 03/1, accounts for the same percentage of your grade, and is meant to test your same "real life" skills application. It would be best to ask your teacher about what's currently going on with those.
