For jan 2009 could i just use the cosine rule then find the inverse?

the question from 1999 where the asked to find the size of the angle EDF could i just use the cosine rule since the triangle already has both sides and an angle??

good morning, sir, just a quick question. What if the 60 degree is below the 40 degrees is it the same way to work it out? sorry i have never done math so am now trying it.

Sin 0 = opp/hyp = Sin 0 30/1cross multiply MK/10 = MK = 10× sin 30°= MK = 5m

Sin 0= opp/hyp = sin 40/1cross multiply DX/15= DX 15× sin 40 = D= 9.6. Cos 0 adj/hyp=

i realize u do some short hand work when it comes to sine and cosine rule so am asking can i calculate it like how u do in exam and still get my full marks?

I'm not sure what you mean by "short hand", but if you follow what I do you will get full marks. Include all your steps so that if you make a calculation error you will still get most of the marks.

For June 1999 part 2 the answer is 65

Sin 0 opp/hyp= sin 0=6/12= sin 0.5 =0 sin (0.5)=0=3

in the 2009 question u have 6 and there is no 6 on the diagram

Yes I know. I made a mistake. Just replace the 6 with 10 in your calculations.

+nickelback 101 Thanks for feedback. I must have been sleeping. I was supposed to use 10m instead of 6 m. Just follow the method for now. I will fix the video in time.

It's not a camera. It's a screen capturing tool. Try changing your resolution on KZbin to 720p. All my videos are recorded in HD.
