Csoma’s Room Foundation is a non profit organisation, committed to Heritage Conservation, Sustainable Development and Education in cooperation with local communities in the Himalayan region. We are working with large number of volunteers since 2008. We started operation in Zangla, the remote Himalayan village where Alexander Csoma de Kőrös compiled the words for the first Tibetan English Dictionary in 1823-24.
We started out as a usual heritage conservation project, but slowly turned into a true social enterprise, facilitating cross-cultural transfer of knowledge, experiences and values.
