You don't need any guidline for 1000 words essay. Just stay focused and to the point. Outline is not needed; but if you ve made it, it's okay.

Yes, 80% would be from Literature and perhaps some questions from linguistics. One thing which one must know about MCQs is that anything can be asked. They migjt not ask about Keats, but the name of his brother or a figure of speech in his poem. So, one must always get 2 books for the basic literature knowledge and also go through the original text of prominent writers, like Milton, Keats, Shakespeare, etc.

IELTS has no pass or fail criterion. On a band it shows how proficient one is. Also it is for anyone who can write on routine topics. It is needed to enter a country for day to day communication, not for a job. CSS gets you the most prestigious job in Pakistan, like UPSC in India.
