if i was trying same thing in flexbox-2 with center tag in justify-content, and align-items as you not done for responsive, because you has been deleted all syntax, and one more thing no need delete any thing in section CSS just use in media query max-width property with display-block, And thanks to give us valuable acknowledge ,and this think i found when my html not responsive .
