CSX I032-27 flies past Kingstree SC

I have family in Kingstree on my mom’s side, and my maternal grandmother used to live in an apartment house near the tracks (Brooks Street, if I remember correctly). Every time we visited her, whenever we heard a train horn we’d all race out the door to the corner and watch the train go by. Freight, passenger, whatever-we’d watch it anyway! And not a vacation went by without a dinner at the Amtrak train station restaurant! Grandma is gone, and now Mom is gone too, but the childhood memories are still just as sweet, and my love of railfanning has been passed on to my kids! But I digress-thanks for the video and the trip down Memory Lane!
