Ya know,, I've been watcing some more of these BigTunnel videos and it seems that the trians in all these videos blow their horns before entering the tunnel. But,,,, I pretty sure the engineer of the train I caught a couple days ago ddin't blow his. If he did, I sure didn't hear it. :'(

That's odd. They are supposed to blow before they go into the tunnel. Also from Seymour to Fort Rittner the speed limit is 10 mph and from Fort Rittner to Mitchell its 25 mph.

Hey Country Railfan,,, Great video and great capture !!! Looks like you were in the right place at the right time. COOL !!!! What day did you film this ? It is so weird that I'm off work today and I actually thought of driving over there today for the first time. Then decided no,,, maybe I'll head over tomorrow. Long story short,,, I'm kicking myself in the butt as I had just headed home from my trip over to Brownstown to go to the bank. I'm headed back home and I'm about 3 miles away from the tracks that run thru B-town that this train runs on. I've stopped to observe a farmer out in the field on his tractor.... then I hear the WHISTLE blowing from B-town. UGHHHHHH !!!! I beat it back to B-town to see if I catch a glimpse of the train and determine it's direction of travel. UGGGHHHHHHH It's nowhere to be seen !!! :'( Again,,, KUDOS on your video and capture !!!!

It was Tuesday yesterday, I was in Seymour watching some trains and 2 railfans stopped by and told me that the J780 local was scheduled to run to Mitchell Indiana I watched it head through Seymour then drove to Brownstown and stopped to get gas and then continued toward Tunnelton. When I got there, there was a very nice family that came to see the Tunnel after waiting about an hour we heard him coming and watched it go through the Tunnel.

@@mononproductions6226 Ah man,,,, That is great !! Well,,, I guess I'll drive over to the Tunnel tomorrow morning and at least get to see the tunnel anyway. Oh,,, those cars this train was pulling are mainly used for lumber, correct ?

The tunnel appears to be in the middle of nowhere yet its still daubed with graffiti, what a shame.
