I live near Cumberland, and railfan around there a lot, so I know these rails well. Would be amazing if you could shoot a video of them loading at the end of the PoorFork Branch!! Though the rails no longer run to Behnam, Lynch, and Scotia, they still have a tipple up CloverLick, and with recent negotiations with CSX, the mines will be using the tipple multiple times a month. Love the video!!!

Real nice work here. I've had an interest in the general Corbin area ever since TRAINS Magazine did their On Location piece on the CC and KD, but I've never really seen (nor looked for) any shots from the CV. Now I'll definitely be checking around for more material taken along this route. Yeah the market is clearly way down and traffic is scarce, but 2 or less a day is still better than none at all, that's how I look at it anyway. And from a production standpoint, real nice job paying attention to detail and continuity. It's nice to see a drone operator that's actually mindful of capturing the right audio and cutting it in correctly in post. That sequence of the C820 around the 2-minute mark was very well done, I've seen far too many drone videos where there was clearly a struggle to find audio that actually matched up with the visuals, glad to see at least somebody is staying on top of things and is shooting to edit. What camera are you using for the ground shots? The overall quality and the encoding look real good here.

And for anyone looking for more in Corbin, Loyall, and surrounding areas, visit Ron Flanerys page on Facebook, he’s a railroad photographer that had based his career in this area 🙂
