Dear Doctor, I have been suffering from chronic sinusitis from ages, I don't have any discomfort like headaches but my 2 main problems are I get large amount of nasal discharge when I wake up in the morning, it is quite thick, yello greenish and yellow as well as some runny water. The nasal discharge in less quantities also irritates me throughout the day and I have to go to clear it often. I have lost sense of smell for 4 years which I regain only some times when I take an antibiotic course for any other ailment or sometimes on my own but it happens for very short time say few hours. I have get my CT scan done too which says completely opacified sinuses. My ENT specialist has suggested surgery but I don't want to undergo it as the problem reoccurs in most of the patients and surgery should be the last procedure in a general view. Is there any alternate option for me? I don't know if it is useful or not but I also checked the nasal discharge's ph value with litmus paper and it is high nearly 8.5. Kindly help me.

Sir, is it Normal to remain mild symptoms after 15 month of Sinus Surgery(FESS). Or FESS can reduce symptoms but can't solve the problem fully? Or patient have to live with mild problem all the life? Actually sir, I underwent sinus surgery before 15 month ago, after 6 month 40% symptoms was gone but after then no improvement was occurred. Do I need 2nd surgery or it is normal to remain 60% problem after 15 month of surgery? Also, Can I lead normal life as before when I have no sinus problem?

Visualized Paranasal sinuses show partial opacification with mucosal thickening. Nasal septum is deviated to right. Right inferior turbinate is hypertrophied causing right nasal airway compromise. Rest of the turbinates and meati are normal

Please help me sir 🙏 My mother MSCT SCAN OF PNS MSCT imaging was performed using submillimeter thin contiguous plain coronal scan of paranasal sinuses . Bony window images were obtained . Polypoid mucosal thickening is noted involving left maxillary , left ethmoid , left frontal , left sphenoid sinus and left side of nasal cavity and naso pharynx . Bilateral middle turbinate choncha bullosa are noted . The frontal sinuses are normally developed and pneumatized with smooth wall contours . The ethmoid cells have a normal appearance and intact bony walls , especially on the orbital side . The sphenoid sinus is normally developed and has a coarse honeycomb structure . The maxillary sinuses are bilaterally symmetrical . The nasal septum is on the midline . The imaged parapharyngeal structures show no abnormalities . IMPRESSION : • Polyposis involving left maxillary , left ethmoid , left frontal , left sphenoid sinus and left side of nasal cavity and naso pharynx . • Bilateral middle turbinate choncha bullosa .
