I really love the CTSF games to but the reason why these games never really made it big has nothing to do at all with their comparisons with metal slug but lack of advertisements, other big releases and gaming news overshadowing CTSFs release, and the fact that the playstation CTSF 3d games were poorly developed. You are right though, CTSF was about exploration and it was a unique hybrid run and gun, shmup, and fps. I did not care for the endings either but felt it was the journey that counted.

I am playing this game on an emulador.... I don't know why in misión 6 when I get to recue the hostage at the end of the level...the game doesn't take me to the Next mission. Is there an explanation?

I really like this game and feel it is very underrated nad often compared in a very stupid way to Metal Slug, CTSP is obviosly inspired by MS but took the game play in another direction. While MS is all about action and a little comedy, CTSP isn't just about shooting everyone, you need to do a lot of exploration to find items too or you wont survive. Not better than MS but a lot diferent. The only think I didn't like was the ending, doesn't make feel rewarded after all the effort :(

Yeah I like the sniper mode but it was done too sparingly and I myself would have preferred it if they had made those levels longer. I hated the shmup levels though they were too boring.

Well, I really like when the game makers reward the gamer with a good aending or alternate endings. It ads a lot of replay value for me. This detail is more often seen in Japanese games. By the way, is your avatar form the game "Guardian Legend"?
