Sir in directional relays, relay is sensing current only in forward direction ( if we select direction as forward).does this forward means it sensing load only in export mode?..what if relay do when load is in import mode?. I mean to say in bilateral network how directional relay ( if direction is forward) sensing fault during import and export of load. Pls clarify sir.

Directional relay senses only in one direction. Export power is protected in forward mode and import power is protected in reverse mode. Provided the CT starpoint is done as an outgoing feeder.

Saturation occurs during high fault currents, further resulting into.tripping of breakers through relays Means protection cores should have a high tolerance to saturation while metering core to have a lower value.

सर ट्रांसफार्मर के केस में यदि HV CT के P1-P2 में P2 बस साइड और P1 ट्रांसफार्मर साइड है तो स्टार P1 (S1)साइड पर बना है लेकिन LV साईड CT के केस में P1-P2 में P1 ट्रांसफार्मर साईड में है लेकिन स्टार P1 (S1) पर ही बना है लेकिन आपने बताया कि जिस साइड लोड रहता है उसी साइड स्टार बनेगा लेकिन ये कैसे हो रहा है , I am confuses

Bus bar ke point se load ko dekhiye... Each s/y is designed assuming bus bar as reference and all connected feeders as outgoing feeder. For case of transformer lv side also ...secondary designwill be based on assumption of bay to be an outgoing feeder. The reverse current thus observed in CT indicates that LV of transformer is an power incoming feeder.
