Putting the 65L still through its paces. It has some big problems so you could say I'm very disappointed with it.
I consider this product dangerous straight out of the box. One serious issue with it is the lack of thought gone into making it safe for use. According to specifications it uses 2800watts. I didn't test it but can tell it must be very close due to the mains cable heating to a dangerous level within minutes of plugging it in!. I replaced the mains cable with a much heavier power cable. Once I had opened it I found there were a number of spade connectors use for the heavy duty mains wiring, specifically the thermostat and main feed wiring. These are loose, which will cause current issues, overheating the circuit, cables and wiring. This is a huge fire risk and would likely fail New Zealand safety specifications.
The other dangerous issue is the lid seal is completely useless. The latches are very light weight and the seal is very thin. It started bursting steam out of the lid rim. It was lucky I wasn't near that latch when the steam burst through.
So yes, these are two very dangerous aspects of this product. I have had to fix the wiring but so far have not found a fix for the seal issue yet. I may need to install better latches.
There is no way this product can be used without major modifications.
The seller also didn't process my order but to their credit, they maintained communication to try and reassure me that all was in order. I did arrive quickly, once it was dispatched. They seem genuinely keen to satisfy the customer so I am hopeful they will negotiate the issues with me in the hope we can resolve the problems.
I will update this if there is more to add. I will also post another video showing the issues I fixed and what needs to be done to make this product safely usable.
