I always loved the northside area between Chicago, Evanston and Skokie. That was my favorite part of the city when I lived there 26 years ago. Now, I wonder are the areas I just mentioned still relatively safe? Or are they about as dangerous as the rest of the city, especially parts of the west and south sides???

I’m from the North Side and i can confirm Up on Howard it’s also dangerous and lots of gang activity going on over there by the Howard Station and sections along Howard

They’re quite a bit more safe than the west and south sides imo. Every now and then, there’s still incidents, etc. but not as terrible
