I barely take the Brown Line, but overall, I really love how the stations are structured for stations that only serves Brown Line trains

I agree I wish the stations in NYC was like that. But then again I'm glad it's not because we deal very impatient drivers.

Why 4 cars?

During Off-Peak Hours & Weekends all CTA Lines are cut in half into 4 cars for low ridership at certain times expect the Red & Blue Lines. The Pink Line is always 4 cars 24/7. And the Yellow Line is a 2 car shuttle train.
