I was backing both Oathsworn and this and ultimately pulled out of both. I cant afford to throw money around carelessly atm and while im not so hard up I could not afford both if I really wanted to the cost of the games even at low pledges coupled with shipping and taxes does not weigh favourably against what I am likely to get out of it. Plus I have an absolute ton of games (digital and physical) to play and books to read already for my leisure time. I know I could resell both but I also know I wouldnt go through that hassle.

Shelf control? What's shelf control? This is a game I've been aware of for a long time but never got around to diving into. When I first got into the hobby this game was a little spendy for me, but now that I am more affluent on Kickstarter, this is a great opportunity to see what it's all about. I backed everything in this campaign. The game is solid, accessible, easy to setup, and highly replay-able. I find it to be a must have in your collection - I chose this over Oathsworn.

Backed Oathsworn at the basic pledge and pulled out of StS and CDMD. StS is too expensive even for the basic pledge. CDMD already has too much content and realistically, for an average gamer like me. I won't go through all that content.

Just played for the first time and love it!! Bought Fear of the Unknown and played the first scenario solo two handed. I have never heard this before, but it really feels like Final Girl! It is curious that no one ever compares these two.

@BoardGameCo Maybe it's my lack of experience with many games and genres but Final Girl is also about rolling dice to move around a map, solve a puzzle (pick up the victims and tools) and prepare for a final face off with the big baddie which is making your life miserable along the way. You upgrade your skills, and the baddie also upgrades theirs. I dunno I get the same feeling and I love both of them!

Got S1 & S2 and agree S1 E1 is still the one I go back to. Torn on this as UK based shipping and import duties / VAT adds a big cost. I do like the extra episodes as stretch goals. But not sure I need S4 or unspeakable as add ons. But unspeakable box especially I have full on fear of missing out. Argh, damn you CMON.

It’s shit value. This campaign + SGs gives you metric ton of investigators. You’ll never play them all. Plus the Unspeakable Box gods suck and the episodes are basically unbalanced messes. You can 100% let this one go and embrace this campaign knowing you’re getting an amazing deal instead of getting robbed by CMON for your FOMO

Well the frost dice are available and the new content all-in is now posted as of today. Hmmm. Seems like I'm only saving $10 versus if I had bought the S3 and S4 add-ons separate(S4 $65 + elder one $30 + Animals $25 + base game $100 = $220 vs $210 all-in)...unless I'm missing something. And of course a higher range of shipping costs for this bundle is posted too.

When it comes to Cthulhu I do prefer more investigation and mystery compared to combat and dungeon crawling. I played Season one and it is a good game but yea lacks that element that I like about Arkham Horror games. Since I have Mansions of Madness, Arkham Horror 2nd ed, Eldritch Horror and the dice one, the idea of a combat Cthulhu game just doesn't have that I have to back appeal. So this was a not back for me. Now from what I remember of playing of the first season I would gladly play but don't need to own, but then again I would if I had a choice play Arkham Horror.

I would have really liked a comparison of CDMD and Deep Madness (not saying you, just in general). I know what I'm getting from this (at least from experience expectations) and I'm excited about how much content is coming. I backed Deep Madness for $1, but now I think this game might just take over my limited Lovecraftian horror boardgame space and send MoM and AH:LCG packing. Elder Sign can stick around since it's not so big 😂

My opinion: considering the inflation in a lot of countries and rising rent prices, you of course have to consider first whether spending that much money for a game is a good idea. It's a lot of money for a game, even the base pledge, and many great games are available right now and cost less. Having said that, CDMD has great reviews and seems to be a lot of fun. Personally, I think that with CMON you get that much stuff with the core pledge that often the expansions are not a good deal. I backed Massive Darkness 2 with just one expansion, and I still receive two large game boxes, a medium and several smaller ones. It's enough content to last for a long time, and I'm sure many people have expansions lying around they haven't played yet. Here you also get a ton of stuff for the core pledge, so I think that just backing that is the best idea. You get a lot of stuff for an acceptable price. Once you received the game, playing through all that will take your time, if you like the game. And if you do like the game and played through all the content, then you have a huge selection of stuff to acquire then. The expansions I consider the least value are the giant Cthulhu and the Unspeakable Box. They're basically collectors items. Sure, they offer gameplay, but not enough to justify the cost. So if you want an expansion, I'd choose one of the smaller KS exclusive ones of this campaign.

If I do the unknowable pledge and have to pay $33-$45 for shipping, what do you think the estimated additional cost for adding S4 would be to the shipping? Don’t think I need all of the content of all in but if the shipping for S4 is a large amount, it might just make sense. Any advice would help!

Really want to see the "frosted dice" make a come back and have seen a number of comment along for both plastic token upgrades and also a neoprene mat for the summoning track... The one board that is permanently constant for every single game. P.S. I believe they did confirm the map tiles for Season 4 are only used in Season 4 😉

Frosted dice are back… at $10 for a set of 8 dice. I hate how CMON is stingy with the number of dice in their games (only 3 black dice is ridiculous for Hastur’s final stage) and then charges a ridiculous amount for a set of dice. I get that they’re custom dice but the base set of dice for CDMD felt so cheap. Even with it being on sale, I feel ripped off on having bought a second set of dice.

Death May Die is actually closer to Arkham Horror 3rd Edition. They have a lot in similarity, moreso than Mansions of Madness. I haven't found CMON or Awaken Realms content easy to sell on the secondary market. Just no one wants to drop that sort of money for all-ins. So that part should never be mentioned, it just doesn't hold true.

This box gives less variety than those two seasons AND many of the KS exclusive investigators are highly unbalanced and/or over powered...according to them. DmD vs Others vs MoM - DmD I think is the best, quite streamlined, MoM is much more complex requiring an app and remembering what 7 actions you can do, the others personally I didn't enjoy it when I played it so that counts that game out.

I've enjoyed watching this campaign unfold as it's the first I've followed. Love C:DMD. Have S1 and S2. Will defn pledge for S3. Will hold off for S4 expansion as it will be cheaper at retail that what CMON are offering. Hard pass on the Unspeakable Box. $120 is just plain f**king rude. Should be at least $60 cheaper than it is. Additionally there's so much content being offered in stretch goals for S3.

It’s not rude for a company to sell a product for more than you want to spend. Especially when they’re basically just undercutting the scalper market.
