Canada’s heavy Alberta tar-sands oil requires extra processing, thus, sells at a discount compared to more traditional Brent Light…America has configured several refinery’s specifically to handle such while in-turn, exporting high quality motor fuels to Quebec….Trade 101…

I don’t see a way forward to this mess the country is in without calling for a federal election. Canadians should have the chance to decide and elect a new government with a fresh mandate to invest in the infrastructure the country needs to diversify its exports to different markets. Mark Carney won’t do this if parliament is prorogued again in the spring.
