Why can the abandon buildings and motels be turned into shelter for the homeless? The many volunteers we have are more than happy to team together to clean them up and get them ready for the homeless. The municipalities can wavier the back taxes and assign supervisors per unit with laws to keep these rooms clean or those abusing the rooms are kicked out. The homeless would have a permanent address for social assistance to give them $$. Those on the drug assistance (paid for by the taxpayers) and trying to conquer their habits, would be given a chance to get their lives together.We should at least give this a try.. Why not?
