Saw GE Smith play with Bob Dylan back in say 1987 at Blossom Music Center in the Cuyahoga River Valley outside Akron Ohio. GE got some chops. Bob’s voice wasn’t the greatest that day but man did they rock.

I think the Bowie video G E Smith appears in is Fashion, not Ashes to Ashes - Smith's on stage to the right with the blonde telecaster.
