Thanks for the info. I just bought a Frister and Rossman Cub 4 in a charity shop. I couldn't work out how to get the motor to drive the mechanism. Looking around I found the manual for the Kenmore version for free online which explains everything.

I have just discovered your series on this lovely little machine. I’m trying to work out how to get the stitch selector to turn the full rotation. I can turn it through the button hole stitches until it gets to the smocking stitch then it won’t go to any of the zigzag stitches. Any assistance much appreciated.

I have followed your guide on oiling the machine, so many thanks for the guide on that. Can you tell me what is the dial for inside the machine just above the light? The wheel above the light adusts the pressure exerted by the foot

@@consul58 What I have found is that LED bulbs do not work with my Cub 4, I've tried a couple of E14 led bulbs different different companies.

@@astronomyforbeginners-a4b-217 maybe a voltage thing I have read that's it's possible to retrofit leds I'm lucky I have a couple of spares with mine. I think you can still get the normal bubls from sewing shops
