Funny, I was enjoying your footage shot on the bmpcc and was marveling at the lovely colours, cuts, and flares and then read your list. I JUST got the Mir-1V yesterday. Haven't gone out with it yet, but yeah this makes me even more looking forward to using it outdoor. I'm still mega noob, but seeing your work is most inspiring.

Thank you for your support! Appreciate it! This Mir lens is really nice one. With this lens and few others like Helios, Jupiter etc. you can get yourself a nice set of vintage ussr lenses for cheap. I also have several other videos with this lens on the channel.

Cool, yeah I've watched all bmpcc vids of yours :) they are awesome. will check rest of your vids. As for lenses, I do plan to get Jupiter lens in the future; I have the Helios (will acquire another from different factory at some point). I am curious what you use for doing the focus pull.. follow focus device or just, god hands? lol ... I don't have doctor hands and always am sad when I go over my earthquake-clips T__T

@@vodahlava I'm focusing with my hands. Follow focus would be a nice addition, but i trying to keep my setup as small as possible for my shooting style (kinda documental style, i think). This BMPCC 6k Pro is already a big camera so rails and follow focus would make it too big for me.

@@flare_vision nice. I hope to improve with the just-hands option. I also want to avoid further building up rig (I have the 4K and fully loaded is a bit under 2.5kg)...well.. some sort of 'free gym' I guess. And even on 'bare-bones' config, it is still big (totally worth it tho). I laughed when I held an A6300 with external monitor. Featherlight!! xD

@@vodahlava haha, yeah, there's definately some small and good cameras out there, but I've also think that these bmpcc worth the extra weight and size. The image you're getting from these cameras is superb. About the hand focusing - all you need is practice. Your setup is heavy enough, the weight should help with microshakes. Also there's some helpful videos on KZbin with advises about focus and etc.

How was is shooting and traveling thru Cuba with the BMPCC 6K? Nice video, btw.

Thx man! Ofcourse the rig is heavy and bulky. It takes a lot of space in the bag. But the screen is big and bright, and internal nd filters makes it much easer to shoot. It would be nice to have smaller camera for travel, but you can't beat the image quality of this camera for the price it has.

love the look of these lenses! can you do a video explaining the setup?
@flare_vision2 жыл бұрын
Here's a video of explaining the idea: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e2KlnaWqf6egZqc I have different setup but the idea is the same. If you interested to build your own anamorphic setup - you should join the "Anamorphic Shooters" group on facebook. There you'll find all info that you need 👍
